Several parties have come together to send this letter of
intent to sue to Global Companies for creating unsafe
breaching the Clean Air Act in the Port of Albany.
The group sending the letter are hoping that a lawsuit is
not necessary, but that the DOT will realize the
need to protect the residents of the South End.
In July of 2015, David Morabito, an attorney in Rochester,
filed paperwork to sue the state DEC based on the fact
that he was denied the ability to receive a permit to
hydrofack land that he owns in Allegheny county.

County must pay plaintiffs $1.7 million.
This lawsuit was against Albany County over their 2011
redistricting map, which was found to dilute the power
of minority voters. The plaintiffs in the case remain
unnamed at this point (will dig deeper), but the wording of
the article makes it seem like just the plaintiffs lawyers
will be receiving money. (is that how it normally works?)
