Originally set up to help those displaced in movement from Pakistan the PMNRF was made in 1948. This public organization today focuses more on helping those who lose family due to natural disasters. In addition to helping those who are displaced PMNR helps financially aid those when it comes to medical expenises with medical operations such as heart transplants, kidney operationsa, nd cancer tratments. This organizaiton is not run throught the governemnt, it is public run by donations.
Developed in 1964, it was the first official NGO made that went out and tried to rehabilitate the mentally ill. After 50 years, has made great strides in workign with those of general illnesses to those in need of psychiatric treatment. The organizaitons has a surrogate home of use for those patients of great need. The organization has took it upon themseselves to break down misconceptions of those with mental illness and help bridge the gap between the minority with the general population.
A nonprofit organization based out of Mumbai, this orgnziaiton was developed in order to help sick children. The goal of UMMEED is to provide quality care to sick children in families who can not afford treatment.
